Discover the extraordinary world of puppet theatre

from 20.01 to 20.01

Add to my agenda

“My grandfather planted a turnip in the garden, he went to look at it every day. The kneecap has grown firm and robust, you could eat it with a piece of bread! This is the beginning of a poem by Julian Tuwim known to children, parents and grandparents entitled “Kneecap”. During a family meeting on Grandparents’ Day, children will learn about the extraordinary world of puppet theatre and will be able to play in a show!

We invite you on Saturday, January 20th from 12.00 to 18.00. Free entrance!

Stories about puppet theatre

What is it like to work in a puppet theatre? What is the difference between puppets, marionettes and puppets? How to set them in motion? What other tasks does a puppet theatre actor have? These and other questions will be answered by Mateusz Mikosza – an actor who has been creating stories in puppet theatre for many years.

During the meeting, young participants will learn the basics of animation and will be able to try their hand at creating the movement of theatrical puppets. Together with the actor, they will perform the play “Turnip” based on a poem by Julian Tuwim. There will be plenty of fun!

Create your own puppet and card for grandma and grandpa

The meeting with the puppet theatre will be accompanied by puppet workshops. Under the supervision of an animator, children will make puppets that they can then take home and act out their own performances.

On the occasion of the upcoming Grandparents’ Day, children will also be able to make fabulously colourful cards for grandmothers and grandfathers. Such a unique gift will surely put a smile on the face of the recipient.

We invite you to celebrate Grandmother’s and Grandfather’s Day together!
